The fabric is substantial and not see thru.
I ordered a large and it fit perfect. It's not stretchy if that's important for you.

Absolutely love this dress and have it in two colors. Very flattering and cute - received a lot of compliments when I wore it. Purchased a large. I’m 5’2” and 165 lbs. Washed in cold water on delicate cycle and let air dry; zero issues with shrinking. Dried well, no issues with wrinkling even when wearing.
